📚 On Saturday, September 5th from 12:00-4:00pm, Otto Bookstore is hosting the Williamsport Children’s Book Festival on West 4th Street!

The event will feature signings with a variety of children's book authors, meet and greet opportunities with Dog Man, Max Meow, and Boomer from the Williamsport Crosscutters, as well as games and activities for kids!

📖 On Saturday, September 5th from 12:00-3:00pm, Tree House Books is hosting their annual Philadelphia Literacy Day event on the 1400-1600 blocks of West Susquehanna Avenue!

This family friendly festival will connect young readers with local and national authors who will be reading and signing their books. It will also include music, games, food, vendors, and more!

📚 Next Saturday, August 29th from 10:00am to 2:00pm is the 6th Annual Oil Region Festival of the Book!

Organized by the Oil Region Library Association, the free book festival will feature book sales, meet and greets with local and regional authors, food vendors, guest speakers, and a variety of activities for children! The festival will take place outside the Oil City Library.

Join fellow readers for a day dedicating to celebrating storytelling and literacy in Oil City!

📚 This Saturday (August 22nd), the Pennsylvania Center for the Book will be attending the National Book Festival in Washington, D.C.!

From 9:00am to 6:00pm, we will be part of The Library of Congress' "Roadmap to Reading," an area dedicated to all 56 Library of Congress Center for the Book Affiliates. All 56 Centers, which represent all 50 states and six U.S. territories, will be highlighting their 2026 Great Reads from Great Places selections!

We are excited to have Author Cordelia Jensen, author of Lilac and the Switchback, the 2026 PA Great Read for Young Readers, join us at Pennsylvania's table from 11:00am-1:00pm! Attendees are allowed to bring books from home for her to sign. There will be a limited number of Lilac and the Switchback books available for purchase at the onsite bookstore!

Stop by Pennsylvania's table to learn more about our 2026 PA Great Reads and to pick up some fun PA bookish swag. If Pennsylvanians show us their Pennsylvania library card, they will also receive a special prize (while supplies last)!
