Founded in 1910, the Architectural Engineering Department at Penn State University has established a long tradition of excellence and educational innovation. It is the oldest, continuously accredited architectural engineering program in the United States. It was first accredited in 1936 by the newly formed Engineers’ Council for Professional Development (forerunner to ABET). degree is now accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
