HESE (Humanitarian Engineering and Social Entrepreneurship (HESE) is a 12 credit certificate or 18 credit minor program where the teams systematically advance ventures over multiple years in hopes to launch the venture. Alongside developing the social ventures, students also work on original publishable research.

Spring 2020 BA 497 Global Logistics Course Applications Now Open!
Description: This 1 credit course focuses on Panama as a global trade and logistics hub and its impact
on companies world-wide. Students will learn about the impact of the evolution of global logistics
networks on the Panamanian economy, sociopolitical development, and culture. Once accepted,
students will be manually enrolled into BA 497 which meets once a week for 50 minutes in Spring 2020
with a travel component to Panama City, Panama over spring break between March 7-14, 2020.
Prerequisite: SCM 301 or BA 302
Preferred: SCM 404, SCM 405, or SCM 406
October 16th – applications open
December 15th – applications close
*Students will be notified of their acceptance in December. Participants will have until January 2nd to confirm their acceptance in the course.
