Hi everyone!
If you have a minute, please consider filling out the survey below- it should only take about 5-10 minutes of your time.

STEELS Survey link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdFpX6wjNrsOc4pDfnxvvI9kRNrqp-zlLbIxMDfH0PiG7E04A/viewform?usp=sf_link

If you teach K-12 science in Pennsylvania, the Westmoreland Land Trust would like to ask you a few questions about the new STEELS (Science, Technology, Engineering, Environmental Literacy, and Sustainability) standards. We want to find out what educational resources teachers are most in need of and how environmental educators from conservancies, land trusts, and nonprofit organizations can help.

The survey (linked below) should only take 5-10 minutes to complete. Your survey answers will be kept confidential. All data will be aggregated and anonymized before being shared with other environmental educators who will use it to prepare new STEELS-aligned teaching resources.

Thanks for your willingness to share your thoughts!

PAESTA Reorganizational Advisory Board 05/27/2023

From the Past PAESTA President - Dave Curry

PAESTA has unfortunately been quiet for some time due to a lack of nominations for leadership positions. The sudden changes in teaching and learning during COVID certainly didn't help at all. We apologize for this and we hope to renew and refresh our organization with your help.

I am sure that this is one of the busiest time of the year for many of you in the education setting, but if you are interested in seeing PAESTA continue into the future, would you please consider donating a small amount of time by joining our PAESTA reorganizational advisory board? You can donate as little or as much time as you have available. We would greatly appreciate your help in getting PAESTA back on its feet in supporting Earth Science teachers and students across the commonwealth and beyond.

YES! I am willing to give some input on reforming PAESTA and getting the organization back on its feet! There is no long-term commitment, just fill out this form below:

Good luck to all of you finishing out the 22-23 school year, thank you for all you do for students in bringing Earth Science Literacy to all!

Please ignore any reference or links to our previous PAESTA web address that you may find in this page. We are working to find a new host for our website soon!

NITARP - NASA/IPAC Teacher Archive Research Program 08/06/2018

NITARP, the NASA/IPAC Teacher Archive Research Program, gets teachers involved in authentic astronomical research. We partner small groups of educators with a mentor professional astronomer for an original research project. The educators incorporate the experience into their classrooms and share their experience with other teachers. The program runs January through January. Applications for the 2019 class of educators are available now and due on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. The program is funded completely via NASA ADAP, and is contingent on the availability of funding.
