WashUCity was approved this week for recognition by theStudent Union! This means we receive a set amount of money to spend on fun things like, food, cool supplies, field trips, and maybe even T-shirts. Thanks for all the hard work everyone has put in so far this semester!
We are having another official visit this Friday! Look forward for more pictures sometime next week!

Friday was our fifth visit of the semester to UCHS! After a quick look at the spring musical posters that the students finished, we got started with a new project that Amanda from PGAV Destinations (http://www.pgavdestinations.com/) is leading with us.
PGAV Destinations is a St. Louis based architecture firm specializing in destination spaces, like theme parks, exhibits, and resorts. We're excited to lead a project with them!
On this visit, the students started sketching designs for zoo exhibit signs; next visit, they'll be modeling them with sculpey clay! Finally, they'll photograph the models and edit those photos to create a final image of their zoo sign.

For our next visit, we've asked them to make nine thumbnail sketches to get them started on the poster.
