Important UCHS Theatre Update!!

UCHS Theatre had a ball yesterday evening at the 2026 Ken Page Awards. Freshmen Thespian - Montgomery Price, Senior Thespian - Casey Beard, and Theatre Director, Mr. Hooks accepted the award on the behalf of the UCHS Theatre Program and company of "Beetlejuice Jr." Special shout out to Freshmen Thespian, Rachel Howard, and former UCHS Theatre and Choir member, Brendan Davis, for giving it their all during the phenomenal opening, medley, and closing numbers! Thank you again to the adjudicators and to the Fabulous Fox, The Muny, and The Fox Charitable Performing Arts Foundation for this incredible honor. Thank you to our community for supporting us.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our performing arts events this school year and a special shout out to our Visual Arts friends for another successful District Arts Night!! ​Starting this upcoming Tuesday, the beloved Charles A. Banks Auditorium—proud home of the UCHS/SDUC Performing Arts Department—will be closing its doors for a little while to receive some much-needed TLC! 🛠️✨

​It is time for some well-deserved updates and maintenance to better enhance the venue experience for UCHS, SDUC, and the University City community as a whole. While it is always bittersweet to see the house lights down and the stage dark, we are beyond excited for what is to come.

​We look forward to welcoming you back to a new and improved space next school year. Get ready for an amazing second act! 🎬🌟
