Living Leadership Program at Saginaw Valley State University

Living Leadership Program at Saginaw Valley State University The Living Leadership Program gives students the opportunity to develop personal leadership skills and apply them in a University setting.

The Living Leadership Program is centered around the First Year experience here at SVSU. This program gives students the opportunity to develop personal leadership skills, and gives them a platform to practice and apply these skills in a University setting. Students chosen to participate in the program live and learn together in a residential community, surrounded by other up and coming leaders he

re on campus. The program is centered on the theme of “emerging leadership” and allows students to participate in several activities including:
o Community service
o Becoming an active member of several on-campus organizations
o Attending a leadership conference
o Preparing for success both in the classroom and here on campus
This program requires an application process, participation in a Kickstart Camp in early August and attendance at a range of LLP activities in the freshman year. Students then have the opportunity to take their leadership skills one step further to become a second year mentor, providing the same unique on-campus experience for future Cardinals, while developing mentorship and lifelong leadership skills.
