Our third student feature is Lilly! Lilly (she/her) is a third year Geography major and Agricultural Studies minor. After graduating in 2023, Lilly would like a career with variety and some outdoors time.
"My favorite thing about geography is how it has broadened my horizons. The subject has taught me about places, environments, and cultures that are different from my own, giving me a better perspective on the world."

Our second student feature is Syd! Syd (she/her) is a fourth year Geography major and Biology minor. After graduating in 2022, Syd would like to work as a researcher.
"My favorite thing about geography is that you can learn about the human and physical aspects of our planet! Geography overlaps with almost every discipline there is! It’s important to have knowledge about how our planet works into order to preserve it to the best of our abilities."

For , we're featuring students from Geography Club and why geography is important to them. Today we're featuring our club president Liz! Liz (she/they) is a fourth year Geography major and Biology minor. After graduating in 2022, Liz would like to work as a Conservation GIS Specialist.
"Geography awareness is important because not many people actually know what geography is all about. I want to spread the awareness that it's not just knowing where things are on a map, but so much more."
