Calvary Chapel Christian Academy

Welcome to Calvary Chapel Christian Academy, a free Christ-centered private school. We are a K-12, non-denominational, non-discriminatory, Christian academy.

Calvary Chapel Christian Academy began in 2000 as a ministry of Calvary Chapel San Antonio. We fill a unique niche in the community by offering a private school education to the public at no cost. We celebrated our first graduating class in 2007.

Hello Parents,

If you haven’t received any or are missing one, please let the office know and we can resend it.

Thank you.

Dear Parents, We hope this message finds you well and that you are enjoying your summer break. We are pleased to provide you with our school calendar for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Please find it attached below.

Hello Parents,

Regarding the upcoming high school banquet...we know that earlier this school year the student council talked about having a theme as fairy tale. However, this year's theme is actually Majestic Royal Garden. We want to honor our King, King Jesus, so the theme is royalty, which is having or showing impressive beauty or dignity.

So, we would like to let you know that this year's theme has nothing to do with fairy tales, fairies, Disney movies, or Disney characters.

But it has everything to do with kings, queens, or princes or princesses. For more
information on this, our Student Body President has sent out a letter to all parents and staff.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Yearbook orders and payment are due Thursday, May 4th.

Talent show begins at 2:30! See you there.

Please congratulate our 2023 Spelling Bee Championship Winner...Nathan Avitia! Job well done.

School will be in session Thursday. Please take your time and drive safely.

Hello Parents,

School will be in session Wednesday.

Reason: I am aware of the school closures around us. Frankly, others closing is not a reason for us to close. Forgetting them and looking at the situation and circumstances and conditions, we ask ourselves if we have reason to close school. At this time the answer is no.

As of 9:30 pm Tuesday according to The Weather Channel, local news, and TXDoT, though there is a broad “winter storm warning” announced, there is not a high probability of icing on the roads. In the Universal City, Converse, and San Antonio areas the news has stated there is almost no probability of icing. The areas north of 1604 North and up I-35 to New Braunfels have a slight chance of icing. According to KSAT News that means bridges and overpasses “may” have icing.

The areas where our school families live are considered to be in the “no probability” or the “slight probability” range for ice on the roads (bridges and overpasses).

According to multiple weather outlets, Wednesday’s weather will be the same as the past two days with the addition of more rain. So it will not only be cold but wet also.

According to TXDoT and the news, the areas we live and school in are not in a condition to justify closing our school.

Your cars will most likely have ice on them as well as your metal mailboxes, etc. but roads will simply be wet in our areas based on current weather reporting. Be careful going over bridges and overpasses because there is a slight chance of icing on those.

Those of you who live 30 minutes or more away out in Cibolo or New Braunfels or North of Stone Oak you’re in the “slight chance of icing bridges area” so use your best judgment to determine when/if to drive to school tomorrow.

Regular school hours will be in play tomorrow.

Please give yourself a little more travel time to get to school.

I will assess the situation early Wednesday morning to see if there has been any changes. If we determine to close school we will notify you. If you do not hear from us then school is in session.

Hello Parents,

Today we had almost everybody here and school went great. However, our plan for Friday is to school from home.

To be clear, Friday IS a school day.

All students will need to get their assignments and communicate with their teachers via Gradelink and Skype.

We realize power outages may occur and interrupt some students at times. Please simply communicate with your teacher and do the best that you can.

On a sidenote, schooling from home Friday will preserve our Presidents’ Day holiday.

Pastor Will

Even coming from Seguin presented no problems…

We’ve had teachers and many parents from Windcrest, Schertz, Converse, Selma, Cibolo get to school with absolutely no problems. We encourage those of you who are hesitant to come in.

School will be in session Thursday, February 3, from 8 AM to 1 PM.

Local weather stations are reporting that bridges and overpasses should have a little ice on them throughout the day tomorrow, but other roadway passages should be traveled as usual.

If you deem your school commute too dangerous, then your child can school from home on Thursday. Your child will need to check in with their teacher via Skype and Gradelink as we did in the past.

Friday does not look promising for on-campus schooling, but a decision will not be made until Thursday evening.

Thank you,
Pastor Will

School will be open Friday, January 21. Regular hours.

Due to projected weather conditions, CCCA will close school on Thursday, January 20.

An update regarding school on Friday will be given tomorrow. At the present time, school will be in session Friday, January 21.

Parents, please check your email for an update on handling the Delta and Omicron variants.
