It’s hard to believe we are already preparing for 3rd Term—the FINAL school term of 2026!

And I have some wonderful news to share first...

Our students are doing SO WELL! They are working hard, growing, learning, and excelling in school. We are incredibly proud of them! ❤️ I even found out today that one of our girls actually skipped P7 and went straight to Secondary after passing the tests for p7 promotion at the beginning of this year.

We have many students at a critical point ready to promote from Primary to Secondary and moving up from Senior 4 to Senior 5. It's crucial no students miss classes in 3rd term as it affects all promotions to the next grade levels.

None of this happens without YOU.

Every month, our faithful sponsors and donors help provide the education these children need. And when there are gaps, so many of you step in with one-time gifts to make sure our children can stay in school.

URGENT CAR NEEDS & UPDATE! 🚨

Shabbat Shalom and Happy Saturday! It seems like when we hit the weekend challenges arise that I get to share with you

Many of you have been following the issues with the existing Prado and the fundraising going on to replace it. We have made progress but still don't have the new Prado funded. This is becoming an even more urgent situation....

We had been able to temporarily fix another issue while waiting for funds to come in to purchase the new Prado... Well, the old Prado has broken due twice on the side of the road while Daniel was trying to take kids to the hospital.... And it always seems to be late at night! Friday night he was taking Tracy (the older one) and they had to get on a Boda (motorcycle taxi) partway there in the rain because the Prado broke down. She had actually passed out and is very sick with malaria. They finally made it and she received treatment.

Saturday night..... The Prado broke down again (they had gotten it running they thought) on the way to the hospital. Now it is not drivable and needs a computer part replaced plus towing covered.

👉 The amount needed right away for that is: $502.00

👉 The amount needed to be able to buy the new Prado is: $8534

👉 A new need shared with me just a short while ago is the van tires are all showing wires because they are so worn out. This is a huge safety hazard as the tires can blow at any minute... We need to replace all 4 ASAP. The cost for the new van tires will be: $622.00

🙏 First, please pray! God can move mountains in ways we don't understand. The needs are great and challenging and in all honesty it's so hard to be in this place of waiting, trusting and having to bring these needs forward again and again. These children and young adults are worth it... And so we press on in the calling God has placed in our lives. With your help and prayers... I know all will come together and blessings will abound for the children and the community they are already impacting!

Hello, everyone. I'm not sure if you saw the last post regarding replacing the Prado immediately, the link to it is in the comments below.

I checked in with Daniel regarding the situation with not being able to get all the kids to school on time without the Prado. This is what he shared happens to the children:

The kids are beaten every time they arrive late, they get 2 strokes and a punishment for either sweeping the compound, slashing (cutting grass/weeds) or mopping the classroom.

This creates a negative and embarrassing situation for the children km so many levels and we hate to see this happening due to an issue we can help manage. 😢

Will you help us quickly fund the new Prado? You can't do this without out you!

URGENT - QUICK BULK CORN DISCOUNT BUY! PLEASE HELP!

🙏 Blessed Sunday morning to you all!

I just received a message from Daniel about an opportunity to buy good corn in bulk at a discounted price! This will help our food budget by saving over $800 over the normal cost of this amount of corn. This bulk corn buy will be turned into posho, like you see in the photo, and allow the posho part of the food budget to be covered for 5-6 weeks at a discounted rate.

Every dollar makes a huge difference when it comes to the food budget.

❗ This has to be done quickly while the discount is available, so if you can give any amount towards this, it will really help keep the kids fed. Food costs keep rising and it has been a big challenge to be able to feed everyone even basics on a small budget.

This corn will be ground and uses for posho which is their staple food source.

🚙 URGENT: We Need to Replace Our Prado

Sometimes the things that quietly serve behind the scenes become some of the most important parts of this ministry.

Many of you remember the heartbreaking attack on one of our girls and her friend as they walked home from school. That tragedy changed how we transport our children. Because of your generosity, we were able to get a van, and together with our Prado, we've been able to safely get our children to and from school each day.

Today, I have to share another urgent need.

After faithfully serving UOCC for the past 7 years, our 2006 Toyota Prado has finally reached the end of its life. We've spent the last three years doing everything we could to keep it running, but the transmission and several other major mechanical problems have made it impossible to justify repairing it again.

If we act now, we can make one final repair and still trade it in while it has some value. If we wait much longer, we'll likely lose that value completely.

This isn't just another vehicle.

This Prado carries supplies to widows in the village. It rushes sick children to clinics and hospitals. It makes long trips to Kampala for medical care and essential supplies. It helps get our children safely to school and allows us to preserve our van so it can continue serving for years to come.

In Uganda, most of the roads we travel are rough dirt roads, especially when visiting the villages. A dependable 4-wheel-drive vehicle isn't a luxury—it's a necessity.

Daniel has found a well-maintained 2017 Prado that should serve the ministry faithfully for many years. The total needed for the final repair, trade-in, and purchase is $12,500.

🚨 Will you help us keep our UOCC teens in school? 💜

Term Break is nearly over and Second term school fees are now due in Uganda. We had some delay in getting the actual numbers and apologize for the late notice! We covet your prayers and support to cover these needs very quickly.

We are incredibly thankful that our nursery and primary children’s fees have been covered — what a blessing!

But our secondary students still need help urgently.

These are our older children and teens. They are working hard. They are growing. They are learning. They are preparing for their futures.

And right now, they need us.

Education in Uganda is not something we can take for granted. When fees are not paid, students will be sent home from school. They miss lessons. They fall behind. They carry the weight of wondering if they will be able to continue.

🙏 We want our children to know they are not forgotten.

We want them to walk into school with confidence, with their supplies ready, their fees paid, and the assurance that people across the world believe their education matters.

📖 BIBLE CAMP AND POOL DAY HELP NEEDED!

Hello friends! In 6 days, I'm heading to Uganda with a small team of dedicated, returning service team members. We can use your help as we prepare! 🌍

One of the highlights of our trip will be a 5 day Bible Camp with the children, filled with learning, games, snacks, worship, and encouragement.

We want to provide special snacks and treats for the kids during this time — something small that makes the experience feel extra special. We will be providing snacks for nearly 100 each day for 6 days.

Plus, at the end we celebrate by taking everyone to go swimming at a pool. This is something the kids (and most Ugandans) don't have access to on a regular basis so it's a special activity we want to do on this trip. We need some help to cover costs associateed with going to pool including transportation, entrance fees, drinks and snack.
