Good Evening Kitty Hawk and JSTEM Academy Families,
We had an excellent start to the new school year and are off to a great second week. I wanted to share some updates and reminders with you all:
Today, all students received an Academic Planner that they will use throughout the school year. We encourage you to ask your student about the planner and speak with them about how they can best use it to stay organized. If lost , students will not receive another planner from the school.
We also ask that you check that your student is following the district's dress code for middle school students. Students found to be out of dress code will be assigned to In School Suspension.
Students have been doing an excellent job keeping their electronic devices put away during instructional hours. A reminder that students need to keep all personal electronic devices put away between 7:55am and 3:30pm. Devices will be confiscated and placed in student services for parent pick up if they are found during instructional hours. Repeat offenses will result in In School Suspension.
Dismissal will continue to get a little smoother each day. For car dismissal please move all the way forward and have the students walk to you. This will help keep the line moving and allow for more students to load more quickly.
Beginning tomorrow, Chromebooks are scheduled to be distributed to JSTEM students and 8th grade Kitty Hawk Students. Students will be responsible for taking proper care of their assigned Chromebook and may be responsible for any damages to the Chromebook.
Athletic events will begin this Thursday with Volleyball versus Metzger. 8th grade will be at Home and 7th grade will be Away. Reminder that you must purchase tickets online, students must be in dress code, and students must wear their student IDs once they are distributed.

We can't wait to see all of our JSTEM students in the morning!
Breakfast will begin at 7:20 am 🥞🍳
At 7:55, they will head to 1st period where they will receive their schedules. 🏫

📚✨ The wait is over! Tomorrow is the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL, and we can't wait to welcome our students back to all of our campuses!

Our hallways are polished, classrooms are ready, and our staff is excited to kick off an amazing year of learning, friendship, and fun. 🎒🍎✏️

Get those backpacks packed, set those alarms, and bring your biggest smiles. We’ll see you tomorrow! 🌞
