With nearly 4 hours between the girls’ events we got some learning in today too. We made sure to take in the Churchill museum that is here at Westminster College. Not only did we learn about the man and the war, but also about all the wonderful resources museums can offer teachers. From lesson plans to museum trunks full of hands on learning, museums are a great resource for teachers!

State competition today! Wish these girls luck in their competitions today!

Senior and second year Pathways student, Trinity, taught her first lesson today to her Kindergartners! They worked on counting and identifying how many different objects there were. Thank you, Miss Trinity! ❤️ And thank you Miss Newman for allowing Trinity to work in your class! Mentor teachers make a huge difference!

Every year Teaching Careers creates interactive bulletin boards. I’ve been super impressed by the students this year and their creativity! Check them out!
Hopefully we will take some of them to competition in March!

Educators Rising is great for people interested in being a teacher but it can be great for people who want to develop leadership skills or public speaking skills. Plus the advisor is super fun 🤗

Teaching Careers students are shadowing other professionals in our district today! They each had an interview with their assigned staff member and then got to shadow them for a bit to see what they do each day. It’s important for our students to understand all the jobs that make our district run smoothly!

Miss Trinity taught her spelling lesson to 1st grade today! Students would roll a dice to find out which color they would use to write their spelling words.
It helped students to practice their spelling words.
