FYI- Due to Kansas house bill 2299, messaging and comments have been disabled for this page.

Fortunately, the law does allow for the page to exist and for information to be shared as we have always done. We will continue to post about upcoming events and share results from competitions as we always have. People will simply not be able to comment or ask questions on the post we make.

Uniontown FFA is helping with the Mapleton Horse Pull this evening!

We’ve been asked to assist with the horse pull in Mapleton this evening loading blocks on and off the sled. We need about 5-8 kids to help!

I will take a school van and will leave UHS at 7:10 PM. We will probably return around 9:30- 10:00 PM.

Please send Mr. Sutton a text if you plan to help out. You’ll receive 10 FFA points for attending. This would be a great chance for some of those that didn’t max out on corn picking/selling points to catch up!

FFA Sweet Corn season has come to an end!

There is still some decent corn left in the patch. Please help yourself to picking whatever you can find! Please be mindful of our hot wire fence, which has been turned off, but we want to be sure it doesn’t get tore up and tangled up!

We sold over 800 dozen ears of sweet corn! Thank you to all the customers that purchased from us and thank you to our sponsors: G3, Stewart Family and Beachner Grain. A special thank you to Jason Sutterby who makes it all possible with his planning, prep and ex*****on each summer!

It also doesn’t happen without our students braving the heat and picking corn. Here’s a list of our top pickers and sellers:

Head to the Fort Scott Farmers Market with this load of peaches and cream sweet corn we just finished picking 30 minutes ago! Starts at 4 and will be there til we sell out!

We will also be in Uniontown tonight at the gas station from 6:30 til we sell out.

$7/dozen

This picking is larger and more consistent than the last couple of loads!

Uniontown FFA will have peaches and cream sweet corn for sale on the following dates and times:

Tuesday, July 7th, 4-6 PM- Ft Scott Farmers Market

Tuesday, July 7th, 6:30-8 PM- Union Station in Uniontown

Saturday, July 11th, 8-10 AM- Ft Scott Farmers Market

This corn will be from our second round and will be bigger ears and should be ripe for the picking. This will likely end our sweet corn for the year. So get some while you can!

Sweet Corn 🌽 picking and selling times this week!

Pick- Tuesday at 2:00 PM

Sell- Tuesday from 4-6 PM at Ft Scott Farmers Market

Sell- Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 PM at Union Station in Uniontown

Pick- Friday at 7:30 PM

Sell- Saturday at 8 AM at Ft Scott Farmers Market

We have a great opportunity to sell a lot of corn this week so please show up and help pick and sell. Remember, once you max out on corn points you can earn credit toward our fall fundraiser meaning you’ll be asked to sell less this fall!

We will be at Union Station in Uniontown this evening selling sweet corn from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.

Peaches & Cream variety - $7.00/dozen

We sold 150 dozen in 20 minutes at the FS Farmers Market last night…. so come as early as you can!!
