Freshman FFA members, known as Greenhands, received their FFA jackets this morning!

4 members have already received their jackets free of charge as they have recited the FFA Creed from memory in front of the class!

Congratulations to the following for accomplishing this feat!

Emma McAfee
Molly Troutman
Talia Ranes
Adam Perry

Any member who can recite the Creed by the end of the day Friday, 9/18, will receive their jacket free courtesy of Uniontown FFA!

All members will also receive a $35 scholarship toward their jacket from the Ed Sutton Memorial Fund. Members will just need to pay the remaining $30.

Freshman FFA members, we’ll have two practices this coming week. FFA will provide dinner on Wednesday evening.

Tomorrow we will serve our annual BBQ lunch at the Ol Settlers Day celebration.

All profit from this years lunch will go to the Uniontown FFA Alumni. The alumni annually supports our chapter through scholarships to graduating seniors and helps us with travel funds when we have teams competing nationally.

Meat and potatoes prepared by Glenn Schnichels. Beans prepared by FFA members over an open fire in the large kettle pot!

We have 8 individual rings for sale. They are 8' in diameter. The tubing is 1" square, 14 gauge.

$10 each

These rings were bent in our manual bender when the settings were not right, and they are not as perfectly round as we need to make quality bale feeders.

Text Mr. Sutton at 620-224-4953 if you would like to purchase them.

Uniontown FFA members and parents, attached is the Labor Day BBQ sign-up sheet for supplies and work shifts.

Members earn points for bringing items that contribute to the meal. I tried to keep most items at $10 or less in costs for each member.

Attached is also the list of workers and the shift they signed up for.

All proceeds from the Labor Day BBQ will go to the Uniontown FFA Alumni. The Alumni group financially supports us throughout the school year by providing funds for our teams that compete at Nationals and by awarding scholarships to graduating seniors.

If you have any questions, email Mr. Sutton at [email protected].
