The home football season opener will take place on Friday, August 28, at 7:00 p.m. at Green Memorial Stadium, where the team will face the Tallmadge Blue Devils.

Before the game, residents are invited to attend the Community Tailgate hosted by the Green Football Boosters and the City of Green. The event will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the tennis courts adjacent to Green Memorial Stadium, located at 1737 Steese Road.

Activities will include a live DJ, autograph opportunities with GHS football players, inflatables, face painting, a balloon artist, a marching band drumline, miniature golf provided by Maranatha Bible Church, and more.

Food vendors will include:

- Drew’s Concessions
- Nightlight Fizz
- RJT Management & Concessions
- Wheely Good Food
