Supply list and Clear Backpack Policy update

❤️🤍💙Laurel Highlands Middle School – Clear Book Bag Update❤️🤍💙

As part of our continued commitment to enhancing school safety, Laurel Highlands Middle School will be receiving bag scanners for the upcoming school year. With the addition of this new security technology, clear book bags will no longer be required for middle school students.
If your student already has a clear book bag, we encourage them to continue using it. We do not want families to feel they need to purchase another backpack, and we sincerely appreciate the generosity of our 5th Grade Committees for providing clear book bags to our students.

Moving forward, students may use a standard book bag once the bag scanners are in operation. Please understand that this decision is based on our current safety procedures and is subject to change should circumstances arise or if the privilege is abused. Our goal is to maintain a safe, secure, and positive learning environment while making the school experience as convenient as possible for our students and families.

With smaller group sizes, players will receive more one-on-one coaching and individual attention! The experienced coaches from the UK and Ecuador bring international knowledge, fun training sessions, and valuable skills to help your player improve their game. Don’t miss this great opportunity to learn from coaches with a global perspective!

Middle School Meet the Teacher Night is Tuesday, August 18th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm for all grades!

In an effort to push information out to you, I will be sending out reminders and procedures of the Laurel Highlands School District.

This procedure is designed to keep students safe, but we also understand the need for kids to have their special cups. We encourage students to drink water throughout the day and have water filling stations throughout the school building.

Unopened drinks are permitted, especially for kids bringing their lunch.

We are canceling our Biz Wiz Kids meeting scheduled for Monday, July 27.

We've heard from many of our members and Young Entrepreneur Showcase participants that they are unavailable that evening, and rather than have so many of our young entrepreneurs miss out, we've decided it's best to reschedule.
