At Robert C. Hatch High School, we encourage students to make positive choices. Under Alabama’s Taylor’s Law, certain disciplinary actions can delay a student’s learner’s permit or driver’s license.

Discipline Points:
• ISS (1 day) = 1 point
• OSS (1 day) = 2 points
• Alternative School = 6 points
• Expulsion = 20 points

Robert C. Hatch High School Clear Backpack Policy

As we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year, Robert C. Hatch High School will continue to enforce our Clear Backpack Policy to help maintain a safe and secure learning environment for all students and staff.

All students are required to bring a clear backpack to school each day. Solid-colored backpacks, mesh backpacks, and non-clear bookbags are not permitted.
