"Teaching isn't just a profession - it's the art of lighting a path where others can learn to walk on their own."
On this day of Teacher Appreciation we thank all those teachers that support and guide our children each and every day.

The members of the Albert Gallatin Education Foundation are celebrating and honoring the life of our founder John Gruskowski, fondly known to all as Mr. G. A teacher, coach and board member, Mr. G's effect on the Albert Gallatin School District will live on forever. Tributes from former students and colleagues attest to his contributions to each and everyone. Instruction in the classroom addressed each student's desire to learn and apply. Whether sponsoring a student activity or coaching an athlete each individual knew Mr. G was there to help them learn, develop and grow academically and personally. John led the teachers of Albert Gallatin serving as president of the Albert Gallatin Education Association. He never let the teachers forget the importance of their chosen station in life. John reminded the educators of their worth and importance in the lives of the students they taught. After retirement Mr. G sought to continue his service to the Albert Galatin School District by founding the Albert Gallatin Education Foundation. The AGEF supports students providing classroom grants for innovative classroom projects and scholarships for graduating seniors.
Let us each stop for a minute and reflect on a moment we personally shared with Mr. G. Let us strive to live up to the example he set and continue his work of serving those around us.
We send our sympathy to his wife Dorothy and his daughters Therese and Annie along with their families. They can walk proud knowing that John...Dad...Mr. G was genuinely loved and respected by those who were lucky enough to have known him.
