🇺🇸 Memorial Day - Remember & Honor 🇺🇸

Honoring Baseball’s Fallen Heroes ⚾

Today we pause to remember the brave men who gave their lives in service to our country — including players who once wore a baseball uniform before putting on a military one.
One powerful story is Eddie Grant, a Major League Baseball player who volunteered for the U.S. Army during World War I. In 1918, Captain Grant was killed in action while leading his men in France — becoming the first MLB player to die in combat.
He was not alone.

We also honor:
• Elmer Gedeon — killed in action during World War II
• Harry O'Neill — died while serving his country in World War II
These men stepped away from the game they loved to defend something greater. Their sacrifice reminds us that Memorial Day is about remembrance, gratitude, and honor.
