Monroe Daycare Center Monroe Daycare Center is a non-profit organization that opened it's doors in 1976. Over the past 40 The requirements of all staff are as follows: S.T.A.R.S.

Monroe Early Childhood Association, INC is a non-profit organization that opened its doors in 1976 to the community. This need was established for a child care service after a detailed analysis of the community needs for children. Over the past 40 years we have served over 3,600 families, with children ages 6 weeks through 13 years of age. In April 2003 the center was able to open an infant/toddle

r program for children ages 6 weeks through 3 years of age. Since 2010 the center has had 45% increase in children and still growing. In 2013 the center became rated as a tier II (the only one in Mountain Heart South). The faculty of the center are all high quality professionals in the early education field with a love for all children we serve. Four staff hold Apprentice Child Development Specialists Certificates. registered through the state of WV, and must pass a criminal background check, and carry 18 hours of continuing education in child development and early education each year.

After 12 years of dedication, love, laughter, and countless lives touched, we are wishing Brooke Weikle all the best on their next adventure. Throughout the years, she has been a caring teacher, a supportive coworker, and a positive influence on so many children and families.
The memories made, lessons taught, and love shared will always be a part of our center. While we will miss Brooke dearly, we are so thankful for the 12 amazing years spent with us.

What an incredible celebration of 50 years of caring for children and families! 💛✨

During the ceremony we recognized Mark and Debbie Kilicolin for purchasing the property and paying interest for maby years before selling it back, Sarah McDonnell as a founding board member, and Steve McNeer with the Legacy Champion Award for supporting the center through the ups and downs at the Bank. We also recognized Tina Johnson with the Distinguished Board Leadership award as the longest board member and each and every current staff member. Also, a special recognition to our wonderful maintenence men Shawn Jarrell and Richie Weikle.

We are beyond grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate this special milestone. Thank you to our families, staff, board members, community partners, alumni, volunteers, and supporters who helped make our 50th Anniversary Celebration such a memorable event.

For 50 years, our center has been built on love, learning, and community, and we could not have reached this milestone without each and every one of you. Your support, encouragement, and dedication have helped shape generations of children and families.

✨️Thank you for celebrating with us, sharing memories, and continuing to believe in our mission. Here’s to the past 50 years and many more to come! ✨️
