Good evening, parents/guardians:
Union High School will be hosting a football game this Friday against the Washington Blue Jays. We hope to see you there! Having said that, due to the large number of community members attending our Friday night football games, there is a heightened level of importance on the need for all younger students to be supervised and monitored for safety purposes. As a result, ALL elementary and middle school students who attend our home football games must be accompanied by an adult. Additionally, it is expected that the parent/guardian not only accompany their elementary or middle school child(ren) to the game, but they are also responsible for monitoring their behavior at ALL times during the duration of the game.
District personnel at the main entrances will check in with students entering the games to ensure they have an accompanying adult. This measure is intended to ensure the safety and well-being of our students, as well as to promote a respectful and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone in attendance. Elementary and middle school students who arrive unaccompanied by a parent/guardian will be turned away regardless of whether they’ve purchased a ticket. This will be our standard practice for all high school home athletic events. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us run events that are safely supervised for all patrons and participants.
Thank you and !
