Starting 2/1-2/25 the FRC is hosting a "Fall in Love with Reading" event. Your student will bring home the flyer below which will contain 25 hearts for your student to fill out.
If your K-2nd student chooses to participate, they will fill out a heart for each book they read and/or have read to them. If your 3-5th student chooses to participate, they will fill out a heart for each 15 minutes they read/have read to them.
Students will also have access to a virtual FRC library where they will be able to listen to 25 different books read to them from different NHES staff members. This virtual library can be accessed via a QR code located on the back of the flyer your student brings home or at the following link:

At the end of the month, each completed and turned in chart will go into a drawing to win a prize from the FRC. There will be one winner randomly selected per grade level! We are gathering data and feedback from our parents to begin writing our school achievement plan required yearly by the Kentucky Department of Education. This year is particularly different in the fact that we have 25% less students. We are finding from some preliminary data that our baseline data is higher than we expected which is a fantastic problem to have.
Each year I solicit feedback from our parents to incorporate in our SIP (achievement plan) that is submitted to the state. I am asking that parents take a few minutes to complete a survey about our school (instruction, leadership, curriculum, etc.) that we can use not only to write goals, but also that we use to make policy revisions, organize clubs, etc. that meet the needs of our community collectively. I do intend on sharing this information with you as I have in the past. (it will be shared in our monthly newsletter)

We are looking for not only feedback but also constructive suggestions and possible solutions. I do appreciate your time and perspectives. All parents / guardians in each household are welcome to provide their feedback.

Tomorrow, November 1st, from 6:30pm-8pm, Conner High School will host Hiding in Plain Sight, a webinar presentation by Officer Jermaine Galloway (Tall Cop), a leading authority in drug identification and substance abuse prevention training. We're excited to offer this informative and insightful webinar to parents, school staff, and our community. Due to the nature of this workshop and the information contained, it is not intended for youths or children.

*The bookfair will run from November 6th - November 15th.
*The book fair will be open the night of Parent-Teacher Conferences (Nov 6th & 9th from 4:00-7:00pm).
*Students will begin shopping in the fair on November 8th -15th during their class' STEM/Science specials.

Hello NH Families! TOMORROW is the first meeting of our new program that is targeted for our preschool and future tigers!
If you have a kiddo that is 0-5 years old, then this program is for you! All Boone County FRC Coordinators have be working together to partner with KET Education and Connect the Dots curriculum to create Boone's Beginners. This is a FREE workshop for families that have children 0-5 learn how to make everyday activities an early learning experience for your child!
This program includes educational material/activities, learning opportunities for parents and children, dinner, and MORE! Workshops are once a month starting in October and run until April (with the exception of December) from 5:30pm-7:00pm.
As we approach the first meeting date, October 24th, we would like to invite your family to join in on this new, fun, and educational program. To sign your family up for Boone's Beginners, please complete the registration form using the link below.

The dentist is coming to our school NEXT WEEK!
The School Smiles on-site dental program provides on-site dental care at our school for ALL students that signup to participate. The dental team will set up inside our school and they accept Medicaid, private insurance, offer self-pay rates and grants through their foundation.
