Kentucky households can apply for LIHEAP Fall Subsidy from November 9 - December 18, 2026, to help offset heating costs with a one-time heating benefit. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, or until funds are depleted. More information will be shared in the coming weeks.

Join us for a fun, hands-on Grocery Store Family Math Night where the grocery store becomes the classroom!

Families will meet us directly at Publix! When you arrive, your family will receive a set of math challenges designed specifically for your child’s grade level. Then, you’ll walk through the grocery store together using real products, prices, quantities, and more to solve the challenges. **NO TOUCHING OR PUCHASE NECESSARY**

📚 Each activity will be connected to Kentucky Academic Standards for Mathematics for your child’s grade level, giving students a chance to see how the math they learn at school is used in everyday life!

There’s no sitting through a presentation—you and your child will shop, explore, problem-solve, and do math together throughout Publix! 🛒🧮

The New Haven Family Resource Center is preparing for the holiday season! ❤️ If your family could use a little extra support this Thanksgiving or Christmas, please review the assistance opportunities available below.

🍗 THANKSGIVING ASSISTANCE
Spending quality time as a family is important and VERY beneficial for all members of the family. To help with this, you and your family are invited to sign up for a “Red Box”. Red Boxes are packages that contain traditional holiday favorites: mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, biscuits, and much more! Along with this box, your family will receive a turkey voucher that can be redeemed at any local Kroger for a 8lb-10lb turkey or precooked turkey breast. If you would like your family to participate in the NHES FRC Red Box Thanksgiving Program, please use the

The FRC works with First Church of Christ to invite NEW HAVEN families to take part in The Christmas Shop.

At The Christmas Shop, you’ll find a wide selection of brand-new, age-appropriate gifts for children from birth through high school—priced at over 80% off retail! 🎃 Calling all NHES families! 🎃 Get ready for the 2026 FRC Family Pumpkin Decorating Contest!

Work together as a family to decorate the pumpkin outline provided and return your masterpiece to your teacher by October 20th.

Our community will have the opportunity to vote for our winning pumpkins during the PTO Trunk or Treat on October 30th at 6 PM in five fun categories: School/House Spirit, Funniest, Most Creative, Spookiest, and Family Masterpiece! Winners in each category will receive a Family Fun Basket! 🎃👻🏆 We can’t wait to see your family’s creativity!
