These incredibly resilient and tenacious athletes overcame a lot of ups and downs over the past month. We are humbled by their grit and perseverance. Congratulations to our competitive cheer team. Today they took first place at the Holmes competition. Thank you to Coach Beier and Coach Martin for their support.
Today we're celebrating our 8th graders. When we adopted the house system, they were the kids we were most concerned about because buy-in at 8th grade is never an easy task. However, they are LEADING this schoolwide culture shift with their positive examples.
Below is our school's leaderboard. Every time someone gets a point for their house, they are highlighted on this board. This is the snapshot of how we ended the week. SIX 8th graders are on the board to end the week. We are proud of the 6 of them and the dozens and dozens and dozens of them that received Kindness, Uplifting, Housekeeping, and Success points for their houses last week. Next week, we add Courage points. Looking forward to continue to see you lead the way, 8th grade!!
Here’s a snippet of our fun today.

October movie in the courtyard under the light of a full moon. Creepy. We are thinking as long as the weather holds out in November we can do another. What should we show next time?
At the moment, the system we use to email parents is not working. If y'all wouldn't mind spreading the word that bus 296 is a double run today, that would be grand.
