Vandalia Lodge No. 290 Presents $500 Donation to Camp Tamarack
JONES, Mich. —
Members of Vandalia Lodge No. 290, Free & Accepted Masons, recently presented a $500 donation to Camp Tamarack in Jones, Michigan, to help support ongoing camp improvements and enhance the experience for Scouts and future generations of campers.
Representing Vandalia Lodge were Worshipful Master Justin Whitson and Senior Warden Ronald Foster, who presented the donation during a visit to the camp. Accepting the gift on behalf of Camp Tamarack were Kevin Trojan, who served as the Camp Director for this year's summer camp, and Steve Whorwell, Camp Ranger.
The contribution reflects the Masonic commitment to supporting youth, community organizations, and programs that develop character, leadership, and service. Camp Tamarack has long provided Scouts with opportunities to build confidence, learn outdoor skills, and develop lifelong values in a safe and inspiring environment.
"We are grateful for the opportunity to support Camp Tamarack and the important work being done there," said Worshipful Master Justin Whitson. "Investing in places where young people learn leadership, responsibility, and service is an investment in the future of our communities."
Senior Warden Ronald Foster added, "Scouting and Freemasonry share many of the same core values—integrity, service, leadership, and helping others. We hope this donation will make a meaningful contribution to the camp and the Scouts it serves."
Vandalia Lodge No. 290 is proud to support organizations that strengthen communities and enrich the lives of young people through education, outdoor adventure, and servant leadership.
