The ECC Center for Workforce Development (CWD) has received $1.2 million in customized training funds to support local manufacturers and their employees through leadership development and workforce training. 💼📈

The funds, provided through the Missouri One Start program, part of the Missouri Department of Economic Development, will benefit 32 area manufacturers. 🏭

Connie Rasmussen, of Bugeye Technologies in Union, emphasized the value of this funding:
"It is also helpful that ECC supports the growth and development of smaller businesses in our area. The grant funds are a tremendous help to small businesses."

Congratulations to Gabe Altemeyer and Caleb Gildehaus from Clemco Industries Corp., who have successfully completed the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Industrial Maintenance Technician apprenticeship at East Central College's Center for Workforce Development.

More than 20 employees at Hodges Badge Company completed a Front-Line Leader apprenticeship program in partnership with the East Central College Center for Workforce Development.

Hodges Badge Partners with College’s CWD for Leadership Apprenticeship Program - East Central College Hodges Badge recently partnered with ECC on a Front-Line Leader program, equipping staff them with increased confidence, creating a more skilled workforce.

The College is asking voters to approve a levy transfer on April 2 that will provide additional funding to modernize buildings, enhance campus safety and security, and create up to date spaces for the Early College Academy, Veterans Lounge and a STEM/Engineering lab.

College’s CWD Sponsors First IT Apprenticeship - East Central College The first IT-focused apprenticeship was recently completed through a partnership between ECC’s Center for Workforce Development (CWD) and WEG Transformers.

We have been awarded funds to reduce training costs for those entering apprenticeships or enrolling in our career-ready programs.

Receive up to $1,000 to cover expenses associated with apprenticeships, training, or courses in manufacturing and health care programs, including Welding, Precision Machining, Certified Nursing Assistant, or Certified Medication Technician.
