Students in our Summer Learning Academy Cardboard Sculpture class turned recycled cardboard into imaginative creations—ranging from mini models to full-scale structures! 💡🎨

Taught by Miguel and Janet DeAguero, the class explored form, space, and artistic design using hands-on techniques like planning, modeling, and assembly.

These future nurses got hands-on with newborn care during our Summer Learning Academy's Pediatric Nursing: How to Care for Baby class.

Led by ECC Nursing Instructor Jessica Van Leer, they practiced swaddling 🛏️, diapering 🧼, feeding 🍼, and more. Some even brought their favorite baby dolls to class!

🤖 Students in this Summer Learning Academy Lego Robotics class built and programmed robots that responded to motion, touch, light, and sound!

They tackled obstacle courses and advanced challenges using LEGO Mindstorms kits, exploring STEM through hands-on, creative problem-solving. 🧠

🩺 Picture Yourself As a Nurse was back in session at this year’s Summer Learning Academy!

Led by ECC Instructor Terri Warmack, students explored what it takes to be a nurse. The students learned essential skills like CPR, first aid, and basic nursing techniques. They also discovered the qualities that make nurses such vital members of any healthcare team. 👩‍⚕️🚑

This hands-on, informative, and inspiring class gave students a great glimpse into the world of nursing. 👨‍⚕️

🎨 Students in the International Pattern class explored design traditions from around the world—then created their own!

With guidance from artist Miguel DeAguero, they studied symmetry, pattern, and culture to craft bold, original artwork. 🌀🌍
