John 18:1-24

*(my own wording from reading)

We must trust God to work out his plan.

“The cup” refers to the suffering isolation, and death that Jesus would have to endure in order to atone for the sins of the world.

*the Jewish we’re given order to make arrest for minor infractions by Romans.

Mark 14:26-52

Jesus expressed his true feelings. But he did not deny or rebel against Gods will.

The sinless son of God took on our sins and was separated in his humanity from God for a while so that we could be externally saved.

Jesus was willing to pay any price to gain what is priceless - external life for his people.

Remember that in times of great stress, you are vulnerable to temptation, even if you have a willing spirit.

How to resist :
Keep watch
Pray to God
Seek support
Focus on purpose God has given you

John 17:1-26

How do we get external life? Jesus tells us clearly hereby knowing God the father himself through his son, Jesus Christ. External life requires entering into a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

He wants us to be joyful. We find immeasurable joy when we keep an intimate contact with Jesus, the source of all joy.

A follower of Jesus becomes sanctified by believing and obeying the word of God.

Jesus prayed for us.

Like 24:44-53

The entire Old Testament points to the Messiah. “The Law of anodes, and in the prophets, and in Psalms”

Jesus spent 40 days with his disciples between his resurrection and ascension.

Pray that the Holy Spirt will open your min to understand , giving you the needed insight to put Gods word into action in your life.

We can get to know him better by studying the scriptures, praying, and allowing the Holy Spirit to make us more like Jesus.

Jesus has authority over heaven and earth.
