The mission of the Human Rights Institute at Kean University is to raise awareness of human rights violations worldwide and to inspire action to combat these injustices. The Human Rights Institute sponsors a broad range of activities, including seminars and conferences, and works with school districts to produce curricula and materials for students. in Holocaust & Genocide Studies degree that spec

ifically studies the Holocaust, anti-Semitism, other Genocides and atrocities that human beings commit against each other.

We’re honored to share that the Human Rights Institute at Kean University has been selected as a 9/11 Day grant recipient!

This fall, we’ll be joining the movement to permanently transform the anniversary of 9/11 into America’s Day of Doing Good — leading a community service project in honor of the 25th Anniversary.

Making an impact, one cleanup at a time 🌍💚

The Kean Sustainability Squad was proud to take part in the City of Elizabeth’s Earth Day cleanup at Phil Rizzuto Park, joining forces with 600+ incredible volunteers dedicated to protecting our environment and giving back to the community. Together, we’re creating cleaner, greener spaces for everyone.

This effort continues the Human Right Institute’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship, turning small actions into lasting change. Thank you to the Center for Leadership and Center for joining us!
