Piece by piece, project by project, we’re making this property our own.

Our ideas and visions can sometimes change but the goal has always stayed the same: create a place that makes our kids want to bring their friends over, a place to host family gatherings and neighbor cookouts, and most of all, a place everyone who comes feels welcome and taken care of 🫶🏼

We’re not done yet but it’s so exciting when another puzzle piece falls into place.

A little glimmer of nostalgia in our modern world ✨

Summer is still here! Sometimes I forget that. Let’s make some lavender syrup! So good in lattes and lemonade 🪻🪻🪻

✨Lavender Syrup✨

1 cup water
1 cup organic cane sugar or sweetener of choice
1/4 -1/2 cup Lavender buds (depends on how strong you want it)

Heat water and sugar in a sauce pan and bring to a boil, stir to dissolve sugar and reduce to a simmer. Add lavender and simmer on low for 15-20 minutes remove from heat and let cool. Strain lavender. Pour in an airtight container/bottle and store in the fridge for up to 2-3 weeks.

Dan and I have always been dreamers, heads usually in the clouds, I will admit. This is just one corner of our dream that we envision for our little homestead.
