Do you visually AND manually check the chamber with a finger to ensure that it is empty?

This was sent to us by a fan and it is a vivid reminder about firearm safety, everyone.

He thought he cleared his Re*****on RP9, but failed to clear the chamber before taking it apart. This is what Speer Gold Dot 9mm 124 grain JHP will do to a finger. He was able to apply a tourniquet and get to the hospital, but ended up having the finger and knuckle removed.

Let's remember:
1. Always keep fi****ms pointed in a safe direction.
2. Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire.
3. Always keep fi****ms unloaded until ready to use.

Even when you think it's unloaded, always follow all the safety rules!

Also, always keep your IFAK with you!
