Thank you to Professor Jeff Macaloloy and the ohana for throwing a great tournament today. It was well run and represented with dojos from across the country bringing their best out to compete. Very happy of Team Pallen - Union City for holding their own and making our tribe proud.

Team Pallen UC represented today at the Ultimate Slam! Very proud of all our students who competed today. Thank you for bringing the community back together.

Just a quick note to say registration for Pallen's Martial Arts classes in Union City, CA are now open for the Winter session!

Mr. Lee, our head instructor is back on the mat from and excited to teach all of your children.

Classes are available on Wednesdays and Fridays at the Holly Community Center.

4:30 - 5pm - 4-6 years old
5pm - 5:45pm - 7-12 years old (Freshman/beginners)
5:45pm - 6:30pm - 7-12 years old (Sophomore/intermediate)
6:30pm - 7:30pm - 7-12 years old (Jr&Sr/advanced)

Yesterday was our Annual Pallen’s Martial Arts student appreciation picnic. It was a fun day of food, fellowship, and fun! It was highlighted by celebrating the PMA black belt class of 2025! PMA Union City had a surprise visit from our founder SGM Max Pallen today.! It was such a treat for the students to learn directly from him.

Heads-up on a couple of events we have coming up:

🌟 Saturday, 1/25: Competition team information meeting at 1 PM
This year, GM is bringing back our competition team, representing Pallen's Martial Arts at various local tournaments.

If you're interested in bringing your talents to a bigger stage, come to the informational meeting this Saturday! No registration is required.

🌟 Wednesday, 1/28 and Friday, 1/30: Tip-testing!
Students, please wear your full gi and bring your completed tip-testing worksheet. If you need a worksheet, please ask Ms. Mirus this week.

🌟 Saturday, 2/1: Kata Workshop open to Orange belts and above from 12:30-2:00 PM
Comprehensive and focused training on forms in prep for tournaments, demos, or just to get better!

Hello Parents! Happy New Year!

As we come back to classes this week, I'm excited to share that Grandmaster Jordan Pallen and Sifu Bianca Ortiz-Pallen will be instructing classes on Wednesdays and Fridays, respectively.

This is a real treat for Union City! Please make sure to greet them and introduce yourselves. All students need to make sure to approach them first and shake their hands with both of their hands as a sign of respect.
