🎧🗣🔊3 reasons your English kids students need PRE-LISTENING tasks for
/sh/ vs. /s/ discrimination! 🎧✨
Point 1:
👂 Tunes the ear: Doing a quick sound warm-up prepares kids to catch and separate tricky sounds like /sh/ and /s/ before fast speech hits them.
Point 2:
🖼️ Anchors meaning: Using visual cues and mouth shapes gives abstract phonemes a concrete anchor so kids don't get lost in translation.
Point 3:
🎯 Creates a mission: Giving a specific discrimination goal—like catching every /sh/ sound while letting /s/ pass—turns passive listeners into active players.
