Union Bridge Early Learning Center Preschool for three and four year old children. The program is designed to expand the basic skills of three and four year olds.

Each session is planned with a variety of activities to encourage growth. An outside playground and an indoor toy area develop the large motor skills. Fine motor development is encouraged by using blocks, puzzles, games, toys, arts, and crafts. The use of themes and units, which are developed through these activities, contributes to instruction. The program also includes large and small group time for learning and stories.

Our 4-Year-Olds Are On a Roll! 🔺🟦🔵

Our little learners had so much fun creating their very own shape fire trucks! 🚒

We started by identifying and naming each shape before looking at a sample fire truck for inspiration. Then, the children got to work independently, carefully choosing and arranging their shapes to construct their own unique fire trucks. Every creation was special and showed off their individual creativity! 🎨

To finish their masterpieces, each child found the ladder with their name on it, practiced tracing their name, and carefully glued the ladder onto their truck. For the finishing touch, they were given the choice to add flames 🔥 or fire hoses to customize their creations! 🚒

The children practiced shape recognition, fine motor skills, name recognition, pre-writing skills, following directions, and independence.

Look how CUTE our 3-year-olds’ fire trucks turned out! 🚒❤️

First, we identified and named each shape.
Then, the children used the shapes to create their very own fire trucks.

To finish their creations, each student picked the ladder with their name on it and glued it onto their fire truck. They were so proud of their unique creations! 🥰

Through this activity, the children practiced shape recognition, fine-motor skills, name recognition, and creativity. ✨

We love seeing their creativity shine and watching them take pride in their work and we just love how every fire truck is a little different—just like each of our wonderful students!

What an exciting morning for our 4-year-olds! Today, we took a walking field trip to Union Bridge Fire Company for a fun and educational lesson about fire safety and the amazing people who help keep our community safe. ❤️

The children got to see the special safety gear firefighters wear and learned how each piece helps protect them while they are helping others. They also enjoyed a full tour of the fire station, where they got to see where the firefighters, paramedics, and EMTs cook, eat, sleep, work out, and hang out when they aren’t busy responding to calls and helping our community.

Of course, one of the biggest highlights was getting to explore the fire engine 🚒 and ambulance 🚑! The children were so excited to see all of the equipment and learn more about how these vehicles are used to help people in our community.

A BIG thank you to Firefighter Chad and Firefighter/Paramedic Shannon for spending time with our children, answering all of their questions, and making our visit so much fun! We truly appreciate you sharing your time and knowledge with our little ones.

A heartfelt thank you to all of the firefighters, paramedics, and EMTs who work tirelessly to keep our community safe. We are incredibly grateful for your courage, dedication, and service each day! 👨‍🚒👩‍🚒🚑 🚒

We had such a fun and exciting visit from Union Bridge Fire Company today! Our children had a wonderful time learning about fire safety and what to do in an emergency.

They got to see the special gear firefighters wear, learn about the important equipment they use, and even explore the fire engine!

The kids were so excited to see everything up close and had lots of questions along the way! It was a fun, hands-on learning experience that they won’t soon forget. 👩‍🚒👨‍🚒🚒

A huge thank you to Union Bridge Fire Company for spending time with our preschoolers and helping us learn all about fire safety! We appreciate everything you do for our community! Thank you for not only keeping us safe, but for taking the time to help our children feel comfortable and familiar with the people who are there to help in an emergency. We had such a fun morning in the Plot of Hope! 🍂

The children loved picking out their own pumpkins and getting creative with pumpkin painting. They also got to scoop out pumpkin seeds and enjoy some yummy muffins made with pumpkin and zucchini grown right here at the Plot of Hope🧁🌱

We finished the morning by harvesting potatoes that were planted by our 4-year-old class last year. It was so exciting to see what had grown! 🥔

A big thank-you to all of the parents and grandparents who came out to join us. Having you there made the morning even more special. ❤️ We loved spending this time together and making such sweet memories with the children!

Our 4-year-old class had such a fun visit from the Carroll County Public Library Storytime Express Bookmobile today! The kids were so excited to see the bookmobile and especially loved seeing Corky the Penguin! 🐧❤️

They had a great time listening to stories read by Ms. Skyler and enjoying some special storytime fun together. We love bringing new books and experiences into our classroom!

We had such a fun visit from the Carroll County Public Library Storytime Express Bookmobile today!

The children loved exploring the bookmobile, listening to a fun story, and getting to choose some books to read in the classroom. We are so thankful to Ms. Katie for spending the morning with us and helping make reading so exciting!

What a GREAT first day in our 3-Year-Old Class! 🌟

Our little learners had such a wonderful day! We saw lots of smiles, laughter, exploring, and FUN as everyone began getting comfortable in our classroom. 🧸🎨🖍️

It was so sweet watching new friendships begin, little personalities shine, and our students discover all the fun that preschool has to offer! 🥰

We are so excited for all the learning, growing, playing, and memories we’ll make together this year!
