Life keeps moving forward. Ready or not summer is coming to an end, schools about to start. We celebrated Gus and Waylon’s last day, as always they’ll take part of our hearts with them, but also leave lots of happy memories💕and promises to keep in touch!! Grandson Gavyn helped us with Storytime, crafts, treasure hunts, snacks…hard to believe he’s the reason we started daycare 13 yrs ago 😊💕

Busy day today!! Finding creative ways to teach life skills can be challenging. Yesterday the kids were playing restaurant, making menus, play food, taking orders and figuring out what to charge. So today I extended that lesson, they were hired to help gramps haul weeds to the burn pile, made banks to put their earnings in, then had to purchase their lunch😊then ate popcycles they made from fresh fruit they had cut up last week!! Threw in a little water play, didn’t catch all the activities but I’d say it was a successful day💕

Puddle jumping is a favorite activity 🌧️☔️what do you do when there’s no puddles🤷🏼‍♀️make your own 😂I decided long ago to not worry about my “perfectly not perfect” yard! It’s the impromptu moments that make my job fun! Yes, there are “those” days that interferes with the fun but 99% of the time they’re great!! For which I am truly thankful for💕a small sample of our activities from June! Yes, I know H has no paint on her paintbrush😊but don’t tell her😂she’s being one of the big kids!!

Our butterflies emerged from their chrysalis while I was on vacation, so after helping gramps with the weeds we found the letters in our name, put them on our bug catcher, divided up some of our butterflies, to take them home to release them in their yard🦋🌸🌻❤️❤️
