Congratulations to SAINTS Robotics teams 119B, 119P and 119X on qualifying for the VEX World Championship taking place April 21-24 in St. Louis, MO! The teams will be among 800 teams from around the world. In 4 years of existence, SAINTS Robotics has had at least 1 team each year qualify for Worlds! This is 119B's third time to Worlds and the first time for 119P and 119X.
Great job to all of our Saints teams that competed this season!!

Huge shoutout to four of our incredible SAINTS Robotics members! 🤖✨
​Sienna (119P), Emerson and Grace (119Y), and Yoyee (119W) represented us today at the Women In Engineering Design Challenge at the University of New Haven.
​These girls put in the work—researching, prototyping, and testing a Cantilever Beam design. During the competition, they had just 90 minutes to build it from scratch! Even though a last-minute design tweak meant it didn't hold as much weight as planned, their brilliance shone through in other ways.
​The result? A 3rd Place finish! 🥉

This past weekend our Saints Robotics teams competed at Sugar Rush Signature Event in Hershey, PA. Teams 119B, 119P, 119W, 119X, and 119Y did an awesome job! 119B, 119P, 119W, and 119X made it into elimination rounds, 119W and 119P were knocked out of their divisions in the round of 16, 119B made it to the semifinals of their division and 119X made it to the finals of their division! It was team 119Y's first signature event and they improved all the way through!

This past weekend, our SAINTS Robotics teams and 119P competed at the Wave Signature Event at WPI.

It was a weekend of ups and downs but ended on a high when 119B and 119X made it into the eliminations at 14th (119B with 62880C) and 16th (119X with 92973B) seeds - tough positions!

119X and 92973B had the upset of the comp by knocking out the number 1 seed and making it to semifinals where they lost to the teams that became tournament champions!

119B and 62880C followed that by knocking out the number 3 seed and then falling in the quarter finals.

A great part of the weekend was visiting with Saints Robotics alum .inflection who attends WPI!

Saints Robotics busy weekend continued on Sunday as we hosted the first Middle School only comp of the season. It was the first comp of the year for our 2 middle school teams. Both teams did an amazing job making it to elims and each winning their first round match! Team 119M was awarded the Sportsmanship award for the comp! Our Saints HS team members ran the comp and did an awesome job! We even welcomed back our Saints Robotics Grad .inflection . Overall a great weekend of robotics!

Awesome job to our Saints Robotics teams on a great showing this past weekend at Daniel Hand HS.
Congrats team 119B on taking skills champion!
Congrats to team 119X on being the #1 seed going into eliminations!
119X partnered with #5 seed 119B and made it into the semifinal rounds.
119P (11th seed) partnered with 119W for eliminations and made it to Quarter finals!
Teams 119C and 119Y worked hard and did an awesome job learning lots!

The last matches of High Stakes have been played. The final day of worlds was full of highs and lows. But the highs definitely outshine the lows! 119A's last 2 matches were both wins and the team ended up placing 24th in their division with a 7-3-0 record. 119B had 1 win and 1 loss to round out the comp and ended up placing 38th in their division with a 6-4-0 record.
The big excitement came when we found out that team 119B won the Energy Award for their division!! The Energy Award is given to the team that maintains a high level of enthusiasm and excitement throughout the event and exhibits a passion for the robotics competition that enriches the event experience for all.
We also got to support an amazing CT team 5150Z from Danbury as they made it to the Finals for worlds! They were knocked out in a best of 3 and are one of the top 4 teams in the world!! We are so proud of our fellow CT team!
The icing on the week was the reveal of the next game and I love the excitement that comes up from the kids as they turn their thoughts to the new game!
As always, I am so proud of these teams and am so excited for the next season of VEX robotics!!

Saints Robotics teams 119A and 119B are just finishing up their first day of competition here at Worlds! We arrived yesterday and had a great dinner with other teams from Connecticut. It was a great night of camaraderie and relaxing before the craziness of competition set in. After an amazing opening ceremony, both 119A and 119B won their practice round. They ended the day with 1 qualifying round complete with 119A winning their match and 119B losing a very close call. Saint Bernard School
