Students were paying close attention during the First Great Lesson yesterday in the Junior Elementary I class. The First Great Lesson is given at the beginning of every year during a Montessori child's elementary years. It's the story of the Coming of the Universe and the beginning of the Cosmic education. Each year they hear this story to create a sense of awe and wonder of the natural world. It is the springboard for the entire elementary curriculum. Our teacher, Tony, has given this lesson MANY (23?) times!

Hello Tree of Life Families!

The lunch trays are polished, the aprons are tied, and we are so excited to welcome your children back for another amazing school year! As your "Lunch Ladys," we believe that a full belly fuels a sharp mind, and we have been busy planning a menu that is not only delicious but also makes sure every single student feels included and cared for at mealtime.

🌱 A Meal for Everyone
We know every family has different needs, which is why we are proud to offer a hearty vegetarian option every single day. We also provide dairy-free alternatives upon request—just let a Allicea or Angel know, and we will make sure your child gets a meal that works perfectly for them.

⏰ Second Chance Breakfast – 10:00 AM
Did your child sleep through the alarm? No problem! We serve "Second Chance Breakfast" every day at 10:00 AM. It’s the perfect way to grab a quick, nutritious bite to hold them over until lunch.

🍽️ Seconds at Lunch ($1.00)**
We want to make sure our growing students leave the cafeteria satisfied! If we have the availability, students are welcome to come back for **seconds at lunch** for just **$1.00 per serving.

Adult Meal Pricing

Parents, guardians, and visitors are always welcome to eat and purchase meals in our cafeteria. Our nutrition team prepares fresh, balanced meals daily that meet federal nutrition standards.

Adult meal prices for the current school year are as follows:

Breakfast: $4.00

Lunch: $6.50

Please remember that these prices apply to adult purchases only. Students continue to receive meals at no cost through our district's participation in the federal meal program. Payment is due at the time of service.

Please note, this small fee isn't about making a profit—it simply helps us cover the little costs that keep our kitchen running smoothly, like fuel for our propane heater, as well as allowing us to offer special drinks and fun snacks that make lunchtime extra special for the kids.

We can’t wait to see all those smiling faces in the lunch line. Here’s to a happy, healthy, and full year ahead!

As Teachers' Appreciation week comes to a close, I want to say how much our teachers mean to us at Tree of Life Charter School! They bring personal attention to our students, so each student feels seen.
