I am happy to be a part of our Uehling Business Club and excited to help sponsor our annual Halloween event! Mark your calendars! We hope to see you in Uehling, Nebraska from 5-7 PM at the Uehling Auditorium.

Games will be inside and they are free, trick-or-treats for the kids are sponsored by local businesses and organizations, and a small meal is available for purchase from our local Girl Scout Troop.

Lastly, our Logan View Honor Society will be on hand to help with the games and prizes. We are looking forward to this event and we hope to see you there! Be sure to stop by and see me! I will have a small treat/activity bag for the kids.

Our local organizations will be on hand as well. We want to thank everyone for helping us with this event and making it a great time for all!

No matter what the weather, we will have the event, so plan to attend!

I love success stories and lately my kiddos are sharing all kinds of them! Today, my eighth grade student reported she had gotten a really good report card. She was so excited that she got an A on her most recent book report. She earned an A- on her report card for her English course. And, all of the hard work she has been doing with me has also boosted her math grade to a B+. She was brimming with pride.
I get so excited when I get these reports. My students are getting just what they need to be successful in the classroom.

When a student doesn't have a word in their vocabulary, we need to learn about it. In today's lesson, one of my kiddos didn't know what a troll was.
We had been working on the word family -oll and he asked me about what that word meant. I mentioned the story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff. He hadn't heard this story. I told him we would read it right after our phonics lesson.
We worked on his reading and spelling and then we read the book!
Needless to say, he knows what a troll is, he can spell multiple words with the -oll ending, and he now knows the folktale of The Three Billy Goats Gruff.
