We are a group of Tyngsborough parents spreading awareness of the need for a new middle school building & sharing info regarding the proposed project.
We hope to secure a YES vote at town meeting on 5/3/22 & ultimately on the town ballot on 5/17/22.

Good Morning Everyone! Thank you again for all of your support as we worked to win the approval to build a new middle school for our town. Though we are all excited about the victory, it’s important to remember that town rules state that signs must now come down. Please make sure to take them down today or tomorrow!

WE DID IT TYNGSBOROUGH!!!! We are getting a new Middle School!!! Town Clerk Joanne Shifres officially announced the results a few moments ago.
Thank you to everyone who took a sign, advocated for the school, donated to the committee, and most importantly came out to vote at Town Meeting and today.
We did it!!!

Hard to believe that the time has come for the town to vote for a new middle school building. So many have worked hard to bring us to this point. We cannot let their work be in vain. Please reach out to all your friends and family in town and make sure that they have a plan to vote tomorrow. We need all the people we can to vote YES. Now, is the time to give our students, middle school staff, and the town the middle school building that it deserves and is necessary to educate our children. We are just a few days away from the town wide ballot vote!!! We are still hopeful and excited about the prospect of a new Middle School for our town after the Town Meeting vote of 513-87, but we can’t let up!
We have a few more signs that we will be picking up tomorrow. If you didn’t get one in our first batch and would like one (pictured below), please send a message and let us know!

Joshua Evans, Special Education Facilitator at TMS discusses the challenges that they face providing services to special education students with the current building. Students with varying needs must share the windowless space. In the proposed building there will be separate rooms for OT/PT, students that need to work with a teacher, and for counselors. This will allow the students to comfortably work on their specific areas of need with less distraction. Special Education is much more of a focus than it was 50+ years ago. Our Special Education students deserve a proper space to receive their necessary services. Please remember to vote YES on May 17th.

On Sunday, May 15th from 9-11AM we will be having another sign holding at the bridge. Please come help us spread the word before the vote on Tuesday the 17th. Good Morning, Tyngsborough! What a night!!
Now that the Town Meeting vote is done and we are 13 days away from the ballot vote, we are going to be wrapping up our can drive with one last push. If you have any cans remaining to donate, we will be doing pickups on Monday morning starting at 8:45 until Danielle’s CRV is full or she’s gotten all the cans (whichever comes first). We are hoping to have one more small run of signs to increase visibility and continue to rally support.
We cannot thank you enough for your support with this campaign. Because of your donations, we were able to pay for all of the signs you’ve seen around town without asking for additional donations per sign. Tyngsborough is an amazing community and we could not have run this campaign without your support. This community is the real MVP!!! Thank you!!

Way to go Tyngsborough!!!! We crossed the milestone of the town meeting vote by an overwhelming margin!
But - our work isn’t done. Make sure you still come out to the ballot on 5/17 and cast one more YES vote at the voting booth.
We showed the town tonight that the school is important to us. Now let’s cross the finish line! Way to go!!!!

Tonight is the night! We here at the Vote Yes for a New TMS Committee thank YOU for all of your support for our students and community - but our work isn’t done. Tonight is the town meeting, and in order for us to get a final vote, we NEED to have a 2/3 majority YES vote TONIGHT.
Decisions are made by those who show up - so let’s show up big and surpass the required 2/3! Let’s make it an overwhelming YES for a new TMS! We will see you at Town Meeting tonight at 7:00 at Tyngsborough High School!!!
