The Tyler Legacy Choir program is proud to announce that Vera Banta was named an Outstanding Performer for her solo at the 2026 UIL State Solo & Ensemble Contest! This is the highest honor awarded at the state contest and recognizes exceptional musicianship, artistry, technical excellence, and overall quality of performance. Only a very small percentage (1-2%) of singers statewide receive this award of distinction yearly, placing Vera among the very top high school vocalists in Texas, and that puts her among the very best in the nation!

Vera has represented this program incredibly well and we are excited to see the next stage of her life and career as she pursues a degree in choral-vocal music education at The University of North Texas, one of the finest music programs in the world.

Tyler Legacy Senior Class of 2027, it’s time to schedule your cap and gown photos! You can choose your time slot now at the link below. Photos will be taken in the cafeteria on August 3-6, between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. Don’t worry, if you are still out on vacation during this time, you will have two other opportunities during our fall photo and photo retake days.
