June is Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) awareness month. PTSD does not only affect military veterans. It can affect anyone who has experienced trauma. Symptoms may include flashbacks, anxiety, sleep difficulties, and emotional numbness. "Trauma changes the brain, but healing is possible."
