Employee of the Month - Each month, our staff is given a word that describes a positive trait of an early childhood educator. The staff then votes for a staff member who embodies that word.
This month, our word is "Patient." Ms. Kay was voted as our employee of the month. Congratulations, Ms. Kay! Thank you for being patient at KK!
Here is what her coworkers shared about her.

She is always soft-spoken. She never seems to be in a hurry. She listens to the children with kindness.
She is very patient with her class in how she speaks to and interacts with them. She is that way with coworkers as well.
She is gentle with her words and is always calm amidst the chaos in her room. When her friends are feeling extra energetic, she meets them with grace and intentionality.
She exudes patience consistently. I have never seen her falter in her patience, even in stressful moments. The children adore her.
She always speaks calmly with her class. She is always kind and loving with her coworkers, and she gives grace to her students when mistakes are made.
She is unflappable. She is fun, creative, and lets her class have a wide range of experiences. No matter how crazy it gets, she stays cool as a cucumber. She provides a safe, loving atmosphere, and her patience allows her children to explore and learn.
She is fair and allows her class to talk through missteps. She is always calm and levelheaded.
She hears MS. KAAAAYYYYYY a thousand times a day, and she still has a smile on her face.

This week, our focus is on mothers. We were joined by a special guest for music class, Ms. Sophie's mom! Thank you Ms. Kendra for sharing your musical talents!
