Aid station skill matters more than you think! 💦
A few seconds of chaos can turn into spilled water, choking, or completely missing the cup.
Here’s the move:
• Make eye contact with a volunteer and point to the cup you want.
• Grab from the end of the table when possible where there is less traffic.
• Slow down slightly. Losing 2–3 seconds is better than wearing your drink.
• Pinch the top of the cup to make a small spout.
• Take 2–3 controlled sips instead of trying to gulp it all at once.
• If you need more, grab a second cup rather than overfilling your mouth.
• Start drinking early in the race and don’t wait until you’re already thirsty.
