Tyler ISD Head Start

We had our last Head Start Policy Council meeting of the school year last week. These parents and community members came together to meet with us once a month since September to stay informed on “All Things Head Start”, make decisions, share great stories about their children’s learning, and enjoy each other over a meal. We can’t say “Thank you” enough for their faithfulness and love for the Head Start program. 💙❤️

Special thanks to Serena Street, our Head Start Policy Council Chair whose daughter Claira attends Rice Elementary School - Tyler ISD. She chaired every Policy Council meeting each month (perfect attendance), and did a FANTASTIC job. We presented her with this plaque for her servant heart💙❤️

Recruitment and Enrollment is a BIG part of what we do in Head Start. Thank you to the Tyler Public Library for allowing us to come and engage with families. With these ladies, it never feels like work.❤️💙

Tyler ISD Head Start will be at the Tyler Public Library today to help families with enrollment!

✅ Walk-in enrollment is available if you have:
• Completed the Tyler ISD online registration
• Brought all required enrollment documents

Don’t have all of your documents yet? No problem! Stop by and visit with us. We can answer your questions, provide enrollment information, and help you schedule an appointment to complete the process.

School is out, but Head Start is on the move!

Catch us at the Tyler Public Library to get enrollment information, ask questions, and if you’re really prepared with all your documents, you may even be able to complete the enrollment process on-site!

Head Start WIN:
When the Head Start Director gets a text from a parent…at 8:00 a.m….on the Saturday after the last day of school…saying her daughter is trying to get on My Reading or My Math Academy and can’t get on. No “summer slide” for this kiddo, and WE LOVE IT! Once the issue is resolved, we’ll post an update. Age of Learning
