Seeing Ourselves Through Art 🎨🖼️

In this lesson, our little artists created self-portraits and the results were as unique and wonderful as they are 💛

More than just drawing faces, this activity helped our learners explore how they see themselves, build self-awareness, and express their individuality. It’s also a great way to strengthen observation skills, boost confidence, and spark conversations about what makes each of us special.

We love giving children the space to celebrate who they are inside and out!

In this lesson, our young explorers put on their thinking caps for a hands-on science experiment today! With curiosity leading the way, they made predictions, tested ideas, and observed what happened just like real scientists do. 🧪🧠

Science time helps us ask big questions, stay curious, and learn through discovery. And guess what? It’s so much fun!

In this lesson, we learned all about composting: how food scraps and natural materials can turn into healthy soil! Our little learners loved discovering how nature recycles and why it’s so good for our planet.

This is an easy to do at home, too! A simple way to teach responsibility, care for the Earth, and watch science in action right in your own backyard.

Science You Can Touch! 🧪

We believe learning should be active, exciting, and full of discovery so we don’t sit at desks all day.

Our science experiments get kids hands-on with the world around them. 🔍🌿

Whether we’re mixing, pouring, or observing, these lessons help curious minds truly understand how things work.

One of the kids’ favorite activities is taking turns snapping photos of our day! It’s such a simple joy, but it gives us a beautiful glimpse into how they see the world—full of wonder, curiosity, and sweet little moments. So beautiful 👀

We love watching them notice the details, capture their favorite spots, and tell stories through their pictures.

We love using our hands to learn and this lesson was no exception! Our little learners helped create a worm box, exploring how worms help in the garden

The older kids even got a chance to practice using real tools to make holes in the box (with careful supervision, of course!). It was a fun and meaningful way to build confidence, coordination, and curiosity all in one activity! 💛🌱

Puzzles are such a fun way to learn, and this one helped us explore the United States! As our little learners matched each state to its spot on the map, they discovered shapes of states, names, and where they go.

Hands-on learning like this builds memory, problem-solving skills, and a love for geography.

At Whole Child Garden, we provide healthy lunches and snacks every day and use mealtime as a chance to teach kids about the importance of a balanced diet.

We believe that food is fuel! Nutritious meals help little bodies grow strong and minds stay focused and ready to learn. From colorful fruits to crunchy veggies, we make healthy eating a joyful part of every day.

We know that every child learns in their own unique way. That’s why we tailor each lesson to match each child's learning style and level so they feel confident, curious, and excited to learn!

We use a variety of materials, activities, and approaches to keep things fresh, fun, and engaging. Because when learning fits just right, big things happen!

Sometimes, nature gives us supplies we need for a great lesson. From leaves to sticks and other treasures found around the yard, our little learners explore, create, and discover with what’s right at their fingertips.

It’s amazing what we can learn and make when we let nature lead the way. It ignites the little learners creativity and resourcefulness.
