Soaking this in
Every second
Every breath
Every little weight on my chest
I am officially on postpartum leave
and this time I am not just supporting the journey
I am living it
As a doula I have held so many mothers through this space
the raw
the real
the sacred
the exhausting
the beautiful
And now I am here again myself
and it hits different
This season is raw and real and so incredibly sweet
Our baby girl arrived earlier than expected
but praise the Lord she is so healthy
The slow days
The healing
The constant feeding
The way time both stands still and flies
This is your reminder
postpartum is not something to bounce back from
it is something to move through gently
I will be soaking this season in with my family
leaning into rest
healing
and these newborn moments that pass way too fast
Mama Bare is not going anywhere
just being lived out in the most real way right now
This is my journey đ¤

Nesting isnât just about a clean houseâŚ
itâs your body and heart preparing to bring life home đ¤
ButtttttâŚ.. lets be real mama, let me say this first:
it is completely normal to want to clean, organize, scrub baseboards at 9pm, and go a little crazy đ
or rip the living room up and possibly upholstery clean the whole couch and purge the toys into a trash bag đ¤ˇââď¸ but hereâs some extra ideas to help you put your focus in the nesting phases!
That surge of energy?
That âeverything must be readyâ feeling?
Thatâs instinct. Thatâs biology. Thatâs you preparing.
⨠AND⌠hereâs your gentle doula reminder:
You donât need a perfect nursery.
You need support.
You need rest.
You need a plan for you too.
Try shifting some of that nesting energy here:
⨠Instead of just organizing baby clothesâŚ
â set up a postpartum basket (pads, snacks, ni**le cream, water bottle)
⨠Instead of deep cleaning everythingâŚ
â line up your support people (whoâs bringing meals, helping with kids?)
⨠Instead of stressing over âeverything being readyââŚ
â prepare your heart + mind for surrender, not control
⨠Instead of only packing babyâs bagâŚ
â pack YOUR comfort (loose clothes, lip balm, cozy socks, your favorite snacks)
Because postpartum matters just as much as birth.
And you deserve to be cared for too đ¤
Save this as your reminder:
You are not just preparing for a babyâŚ
you are becoming a mother again.

Ever heard of the Side-Lying Release? đ¤°đ˝
This gentle technique is often used by doulas during pregnancy and labor to help create more balance in the pelvis and encourage baby to move into a better position for birth.
When the ligaments supporting the uterus relax, it can:
⨠reduce pelvic tension
⨠create more space for baby
⨠encourage baby to rotate
⨠help relieve back labor
⨠support smoother labor progress
Itâs simple but powerful.
The Side-Lying Release is usually done with the support of a doula, partner, or provider and only takes a few minutes on each side.
Small positional changes can make a big difference in comfort and labor progress.
đ Save this for later so you remember it when labor starts.
If youâre preparing for birth and want hands-on support, education, and guidance throughout pregnancy and labor, Iâd love to support you.

Postpartum healing isnât a straight line.
Some days you feel strong.
Other days you feel like youâre still putting yourself back together.
And honestly? Thatâs normal.
Your body doesnât heal all at once.
Your hormones donât just âsnap back.â
Your nervous system needs time to feel safe again.
And the woman you were before⌠she changes.
If youâre months or even years postpartum and still feel like youâre finding yourself, youâre not broken. Youâre not behind.
Youâre becoming.
This is why postpartum care matters.
This is why rest is necessary, not lazy.
This is why moms need support long after everyone stops asking how theyâre doing.
From a doula who sees you and believes you đ¤

Today was a reminder of how powerful community is in birth work.
Leah Condel with Passion Doula LLC and I had a great conversation as postpartum doulas, swharing insight, experiences, and encouragement. Supporting one another, learning from one another, and building relationships only strengthens the care we provide to mothers. Grateful for connection and shared purpose đ¤
