We are SO excited to officially celebrate Jordy for passing the beast of a BCBA exam TODAY!!! 🥳👏🎉

Jordy has worked incredibly hard to get to this moment, and we could not be more proud of her. Watching her grow throughout this journey has been such a joy, and we are thrilled to officially welcome her into this next chapter as a BCBA! ❤️

This is a BIG accomplishment and so very well deserved. We already know she’s going to make such a difference for the kids and families she serves. 🥹

🎉👑 **A slightly belated anniversary celebration for one of our special teachers, Heather!**

We certainly couldn’t let this milestone pass without recognizing Heather!

We are SO lucky to have her on our team. Throughout her time at Monarch, Heather’s roles have continued to diversify and grow right alongside our program. From teaching and supporting academics to helping our students develop meaningful transition and life skills, she continues to find new ways to support our students and help prepare them for what comes next.

We’re incredibly thankful for her flexibility, creativity, and dedication and for the many hats she so willingly wears as Monarch continues to grow.

Speaking of adding to our Special Education Teacher team… have we mentioned how much fun we have around here?! 👀😂

Today we celebrated a VERY important milestone… Adam Sandler’s 60th birthday! 🎉

And really, what better way to honor the man who has spent decades making us laugh than by showing up to work in oversized T-shirts, basketball shorts, baggy sweats, backwards hats, and some truly questionable outfit combinations? 😂

Safe to say, the Monarch crew understood the assignment. 👏 Literally, record-breaking participation.

We spend a lot of time encouraging our students to be comfortable being exactly who they are, so a day dedicated to celebrating someone who has made an entire career out of being unapologetically himself felt pretty fitting. ❤️👑

We work hard, we care deeply about our students, and we take what we do seriously (but we certainly don’t take ourselves too seriously). 😂

Happy 60th Birthday, Adam Sandler! Thanks for the laughs, the movies, and for giving an entire school staff a perfectly reasonable excuse to wear basketball shorts to work on a Wednesday. 🎬🩳

Yes, the students are pretty incredible. But one of the best parts of working at Monarch? You don’t have to do it alone. 👑

Behind every Monarch student is a whole team of teachers, BCBAs, RBTs, therapists, support staff, and people who genuinely care about helping each other succeed. We collaborate, problem-solve, celebrate the wins, laugh a lot, and show up for our students and for one another.

🎉 **Happy ONE YEAR Anniversary to Darshini!** 👑❤️

Time flies when you’re having fun! One year ago today, Darshini joined the Monarch Prep team as a BCBA, and we are incredibly thankful that she did.

Over the past year, Darshini has been a tremendous asset to Monarch as our program has continued to grow. Her compassion, kindness, and patience shine through in the way she supports each of the kids she works with. She is also a wonderful collaborator and teammate, always providing thoughtful feedback, guidance, and support to those working alongside her.

We are so grateful for the impact Darshini has made during her first year with Monarch and are very lucky to have her as part of our team.

It has just been brought to our attention that Adam Sandler’s birthday is Wednesday, September 9th… which feels like an opportunity for an Adam Sandler Dress-Up Day that we simply should not ignore. ! 🎬🏀

Think:
👕 Oversized T-shirts
🩳 Basketball shorts
👟 Baggy sweatpants
🧢 Backwards baseball caps
🩴 Sneakers, slides, and maximum comfort

Basically… if it looks like you got dressed for maximum comfort, you’re probably doing it right. 😂

Participation is completely optional, but we’d love for our Monarch students and staff to have some fun with it!

Our students attend school year-round, but that doesn’t mean they should miss out on the special traditions and memories that come with starting a new semester!

A HUGE thank you to Tyler Run for Autism for sponsoring today’s Fall Semester Kickoff Celebration and giving our students an opportunity to participate in these special school traditions in an inclusive way. ❤️

Tyler Run for Autism does so much for our community. Not only providing financial assistance to local families of loved ones with autism, but also creating opportunities like today where our students can simply participate, celebrate, and belong.

A heartfelt thank you to the Smith County Sheriff's Office for spending time with our students during Community Helpers Week! 🚓💙

Our students loved meeting the deputies, learning about safety, and even receiving some fun goodies! Visits like these do so much more than teach safety, they help foster trust and familiarity with law enforcement officers, making uniforms and emergency interactions feel less intimidating.

We're so appreciative of your willingness to engage with our students, answer their questions, and help create positive connections that can make a lifelong difference. Thank you for your service and for helping make our Community Helpers Week so special!

We are incredibly thankful to the City of Tyler Fire Department for visiting Monarch Prep as part of Community Helpers Week! 🚒🔥

Our students enjoyed learning about fire safety, asking questions, and getting an up-close look at the fire truck. Opportunities like these are invaluable in helping students become more familiar and comfortable with firefighters and their equipment before they're ever needed in an emergency.

We're especially grateful for the kindness, patience, and enthusiasm your crew showed each of our students. Thank you for taking the time to invest in our school and for all you do to keep our community safe every day!
