The brothers of Phi Delta Chi will be collaborating in a Special Event along side with SSHP and CPFI with an organization called Project C.U.R.E.
Project C.U.R.E. was founded in 1987 to give doctors and nurses in developing countries the means necessary to treat illnesses, administer vaccines, perform surgical procedures and help with the safe delivery of babies. Today it is now one of the world’s largest non-profit organizations in the world, collecting and sorting used or surplus medical equipment and supplies from manufacturers and hospitals and redistributing them in 130 developing countries. This is a great way not only to serve our community within Tyler but THE WORLD! The even will take place in Houston, Tx, Saturday October 2nd from 12:30-3pm. (We can all carpool together!) PDC will host another seminar Thursday, September 16th at 6 PM. Join us as Rudi Wordlaw from Mercer University College of Pharmacy in Georgia talk to us on “The Importance of Networking.” This event is opened to everyone.
Yesterday PDC held it first seminar where the amazing, and talented Dr. Sagar Parekh talked about what lead him to create and how we as pharmacy students can start our own personal brand in healthcare. (Listen to the full seminar on the Pharmish and Phriends podcast on Spotify.)

Labor Day was rooted in the late nineteenth century, when labor activists pushed for a federal holiday to recognize the many contributions workers have made to America’s strength, prosperity, and well-being. It is appropriate, therefore, that the nation pays tribute on Labor Day to the creator of so much of the nation's strength, freedom, and leadership – the American worker. Happy Labor Day 🇺🇸
