🥋⚔️ WEAPONS NIGHT AT SONGAHM MARTIAL ARTS ACADEMY! ⚔️🥋

Tonight at Songahm Martial Arts Academy, Mr. O’Keeffe and Mr. Fisher had an AMAZING class! 🔥

The students got to take a little break from their regular training routine and dive into something new, exciting, and hands-on — WEAPONS! 🥋⚔️
Each student had the opportunity to choose their own weapon for class, and you could see the excitement on their faces from the moment they made their selection! 🤩

They learned about the different weapons they chose, including their history, purpose, and how they are used in martial arts. They also learned about the 9 Loves of Weapons, adding even more meaning and understanding to their training.

But the best part? ❤️

Every single student was excited to learn something new!

At Songahm Martial Arts Academy, we believe martial arts is about more than kicks, punches, and belts. It's about learning, growing, building confidence, discovering new skills, and having FUN while doing it!

Are you ready to bring the competition, spread the martial arts family, and have some fun?! 💥

From September through October, Mr. O’Keeffe is challenging ALL of his students—from Tiny Tigers 🐯, MAK Kids 🥋, Teens, and Adults—to step up and bring a BUDDIE to train with them!

👊 THE CHALLENGE:

Bring a buddy to train for 2 weeks for only $50!

🔥 BUT THAT’S NOT ALL! 🔥

After completing and committing to those 2 weeks, Mr. O’Keeffe is throwing in an ADDITIONAL 2 WEEKS FOR FREE! 🎉

🎁 And here’s where the challenge gets even better…

If one of Mr. O’Keeffe’s students gets their buddie to sign up, that student will be entered into a drawing for a special little prize! 🏆🎁

Gwen is fairly new to her martial arts journey, but her story is already something special. ❤️
For a while, Gwen would sit and watch her big brother train on the mat. She watched him learn, grow, work hard, and challenge himself. Then one day, Gwen decided it was her turn to step onto the mat and begin a journey of her own. 🥋✨

Now, she is training right alongside her brother, learning new skills, building confidence, and discovering just how strong she can be!

🥋🌟 ANOTHER BIG ANNOUNCEMENT FROM SONGAHM MARTIAL ARTS ACADEMY! 🌟🥋

Everyone, we would like you to meet Mr. Harley Fortner! 💙

Harley is one of our awesome students in our MAK Kids Class on Monday nights, and we have watched this young man go through an incredible transformation right before our eyes. 🥹❤️

When Harley first joined us, he was quiet, shy, and unsure. He wasn't quite sure about us, our instructors, or even how our classes worked.

And that's okay. ❤️
Sometimes, confidence doesn't happen overnight. Sometimes, it takes time, patience, encouragement, and a safe place to simply be yourself.

Over the past few months, Harley has slowly started to come out of his shell. He has warmed up to his instructors, his peers, and the environment around him.

And then something amazing started happening...

✨ HARLEY STARTED BLOSSOMING! ✨

Every time he steps onto our mats, we see more of his personality coming through.

He's talking to his peers.
He's working with his peers.
He's becoming more comfortable.
He's becoming more confident.
And most importantly, he's believing in himself. 💪🥋

A few short weeks ago, we decided it was time to give Harley a BIG challenge!

After talking with Harley and his parents, we presented him with an opportunity to step outside of his comfort zone and begin a Leadership Training Challenge with Mr. O'Keeffe. 👊

During this challenge, Harley gets the opportunity to work alongside Mr. O'Keeffe and our other leadership students during our Tiny Tigers classes.

This isn't just about learning martial arts.
It's about learning what LEADERSHIP truly means.

It's learning how to help others.
It's learning how to communicate.
It's learning how to encourage his peers.
It's learning responsibility.

And it's learning that sometimes being a leader means stepping outside of your comfort zone. 🌟

And Harley isn't stopping there!

🥋🏆 His next challenge is our Scholastic Tournaments!

We're going to introduce Harley to the tournament experience one step at a time. This will give him another opportunity to build confidence, meet other students, make new friends, and discover just how much he is capable of accomplishing.

And who knows what comes next? 👀

As the months go by and Harley continues to work through each challenge, we've already started talking about the possibility of moving him into our Leadership Program and seeing where his journey takes him from there.

YOUR JOURNEY IS JUST BEGINNING. 🥋🔥
Never forget how far you've already come.
The quiet, shy young man who first walked through our doors is slowly becoming a confident young man who is learning to step forward, take on challenges, and believe in himself.
