Creative Learning Child Enrichment Center is participating in the new Get Kids Ready grant starting this school year!
Get Kids Ready is a new, free program funded by the state of Wisconsin for 4 year olds in an eligible, approved licensed child care center to get school readiness at their child care center.
What is school readiness? In simple terms, school readiness means a child is ready to go to school.
Through the Get Kids Ready program, our approved curriculum focuses on developing the academic, physical, social-emotional, self help skills, and much more that children will need to succeed in school. Not only is our curriculum approved, but our lead teacher has her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood.
The Get Kids Ready program pays the center for the program hours Monday through Friday mornings, making that part of the day FREE for families.
We work hand in hand with the Two Rivers Public Schools. After GKR program hours in the mornings, our children are bussed to Koenig school for PM 4K.
Those children that need care after 4K can be bussed back to Creative Learning for wrap around care also. Some days that the Two Rivers Public Schools has no school – we have extended GKR hours also. (see our GKR calendar)
Any wrap around care before the Get Kids Ready hours or after 4K are contracted/billed at the cheaper hourly before and after school rate.
The state plans for this to be an ongoing program for 4K age children.
