Protection from UV rays is important all year, not just during the summer. UV rays can reach you on cloudy and cool days, and they reflect off of surfaces like water, cement, sand, and snow. In the continental United States, UV rays tend to be strongest from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. STAY COOL!

Fine Motor Skill Development Alert!!!!!
PomPom transfer activities are beneficial for children's fine motor skills development, helping them to improve hand-eye coordination, finger strength, and dexterity. Add counting the PomPoms into the game for an additional skill to learn!

Water activities aim to encourage precise movement, concentration, confidence, and independence by learning to do this task independently. Our Explorers class practiced pouring water from a pitcher into a cup, and the goal was not to spill or overfill the cup. Our younger class, the Busy Bees transferred water using an eye dropper, which takes a lot of focus! Learning something new everyday!

Tracing dotted lines in pre-K is important for developing essential fine motor skills, pre-writing skills, and hand-eye coordination. These skills are foundational for later success in writing, drawing, and other tasks that require precise movements. Today the children traced various styles of lines with a community helper theme. Example: a small curvy line from the police hat to the police car.
